I already wrote about Ruissalo in one of the previous post but I though this beautiful island deserves its own entry. the island was the hunting island for the court of Turku castle and is now just a very nice spot for a nice walk. You can reach the island either by bus overt the bridge or by vesibussi, the water bus, which is basically a small boat which drives along the Aurajoki and the islands around Turku. It is open from 20th may till the mid September and you can just use your Föli bus ticket to take the vesibussi.
Ruissalo has such nice places and there are really beautiful old buildings on the island. In summer and early autumn you can also go in the sauna and swim in the ocean afterwards, but also in winter with the snow it looks very dashing.
The island is around 6 km long and 1 km wide and lays in the Baltic sea.
It is definitely worth going there.
